Volunteers’ Week 2023
1 to 7 June - Celebrate and Inspire
Volunteers' Week is a time to celebrate and inspire, and we’re excited to celebrate and thank our global network of volunteers.
2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), and we be joining thousands of charities and organisations recognising the contribution of our volunteers.
Watch a video thank you message from Mark Rhys, ICAEW Deputy-President 2022-2023, and some of our volunteers explaining the benefits of volunteering.
Benefits of volunteering
Volunteer Week 2023 - Mark Rhys, ICAEW Deputy-President, shares a thank you message, plus volunteering stories explain the benefits of volunteering.
Thank you – we couldn’t do it without you!
We are very grateful for all our global volunteers and their support. Serving on our councils, boards and committees, and supporting our outreach and recruitment work, our volunteers’ expertise helps realise our strategy, benefitting our members and students, the wider profession and the global economy. Our volunteers continue to play a fundamental role in our success, and we are very grateful to them for their involvement and goodwill.
Also to those who volunteer for charities and other not-for-profit organisations. Your expertise enables charities to continue flourishing and benefitting causes that make such a difference to so many lives. The voluntary sector and society as a whole has never been more important.
Volunteers’ Week is led in partnership by NCVO, Volunteer Scotland, Volunteer Now (Northern Ireland) and Wales Council for Voluntary Action and is supported by ICAEW and organisations across the UK.
Looking for ways to volunteer?
ICAEW is extremely fortunate to have a thriving global volunteering community. Visit our Volunteering Hub where you can find information on the wide variety of global volunteering opportunities and roles available.
Some of these include serving on our councils, boards, committees, and your district societies. You could be speakers and support our work at schools, colleges and universities to help us make the accountancy profession more inclusive.
If you’re an ACA student why not get involved with volunteer work for your local student society, across the UK and internationally. Learn more at our Student Societies hub.
Here at ICAEW Volunteers we have been connecting charities with finance professionals looking for volunteer roles for nine years, why not search for a volunteer role now?
