Trustees & Treasurer

Would you like to play a key role in a charitable trust that is working to bring about positive social change? Comprising a small, dedicated team of staff and trustees, the Bromley Trust provides grants to UK registered charities working on human rights and prison reform issues.

We are looking for up to 4 trustees to join us this year and we recognise that having a diverse board representing a range of perspectives, skills and experiences will best enable us to be an effective organisation. We support valuable work which makes a real difference to people’s lives. We are looking for people who have good strategic thinking skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively as a member of a small friendly team. We are looking for one of the four new trustees to be someone with financial qualifications and experience who can take over from our retiring Treasurer and play a central role in overseeing the Trust’s financial affairs.

We would encourage anyone enthusiastic about our areas of activity to consider applying, including those with personal experience of human rights abuses or the prison system. You do not need to have previous experience of being a trustee as a full induction will be provided.

Trustees are not renumerated for their time but will be reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses for attending Board meetings or representing the Trust as required.
