  • Act as ambassador within our befriending network, through the criminal justice sector and the wider community

Additional Treasurer responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and reporting on the financial health of both organisations
  • Overseeing, recommending and presenting budgets to the Board
  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of annual accounts and financial statements to the Charity Commission & Companies House
  • Keeping the board informed about its financial duties and responsibilities
  • Advising on the financial implications of the organisation’s strategic plans
  • Ensuring that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place
  • Ensuring that the annual accounts are scrutinised by external auditors and any recommendations are implemented
  • Liaising with staff about financial matters

  • Excellent financial and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
