What could you bring as the Treasurer of a charity that is passionate about supporting people who are experiencing homelessness, extreme poverty, and other disadvantages to make positive changes in their lives?

Background

NOAH Enterprise provides care and advice services, employment and wellbeing workshops, and opportunities for employment.  We are truly driven by our values of Care, Compassion, and Commitment, which have their roots in Saint Vincent de Paul, whose life was the inspiration behind the founding of NOAH.

We work with those who are hardest to work with and over 34 years NOAH has earned a reputation across Bedfordshire for effectively supporting those who are street homeless, especially EU migrants, and for helping people with little confidence to get into work.

We are now seeking a Treasurer to ensure our continued financial stability.

What we can offer you

Becoming a Board member is a fascinating way to engage in the not-for-profit sector. It’s a role which will give back just as much as you put in and often much, much more. A Board role will reward the ambitious with a wealth of personal and professional skills which are valuable for both work and personal life. It will empower you with a new sense of contribution in the pursuit of a wider purpose

Treasurer

We are looking for a new Trustee who will take on the role of Treasurer. The role is both a strategic position, working with fellow Trustees and the charity Senior Leadership team on developing a financial strategy to support our ambitious growth plans, and a tactical position, involving oversight of the charity’s finances and financial operations.  The Treasurer is Chair of the Finance Committee.

It is not necessary to be a qualified accountant to fulfil this role and we would welcome someone with the equivalent professional experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Board of a successful and ambitious organisation making a significant impact on the lives of some of the poorest people in society. If you would like to play a leading part in shaping in the future of NOAH in this key role, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We work within particularly diverse areas, and it is important that the Board is representative of the communities that we serve. We would particularly welcome applications from women and people from an ethnic minority background who are currently under-represented on the Board.

For further information or to apply please contact our recruitment advisor Lucinda Shaw at Eastside Primetimers via email lucinda@ep-uk.org.  Application is by CV and a supporting letter, which should indicate why you are interested in applying for the role of Treasurer and how you meet the role requirements.

We want you to have every opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability and potential; please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustment so that we can help with making the application process work for you.

The closing date for applications is 20 June.
