The National Association for Voluntary & Community Action (NAVCA) works all over England with its members to help local people and communities to take action on the things which matter to them, get involved in volunteering, have a say about local decisions and run everything from a playscheme to looking after local spaces.
Our mission is to drive social action and enable communities to thrive We have a small national team to support our members, governed by a board of trustees.
Our current Treasurer is standing down and we are looking for someone with an interest in communities and charities, an understanding of finance and accounting and who can work with other board members and our finance manager on the organisation's finances. This is an opportunity for professional development in gaining experience of charity finance and how small organisations operate.
We are particularly keen to increase the diversity of perspectives in the Board, with trustees from a range of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences. Trustees are appointed for a three-year term, with the option to extend for one further term.
