Trustee to become Treasurer

For the last 140 years the Egypt Exploration Society has been supporting and promoting understanding and appreciation of Egyptian cultural heritage. Today, the Society finances research projects in Egypt and supports scholarly work around the world. The Society is looking for a Trustee who will become Treasurer in the next year. The Treasurer is one of the three Officers of the Society offering support and advice to both the Director and the Finance Manager. In addition, they chair the Finance Committee which reviews the management accounts and the preparation of budgets etc.

The Society is situated in the heart of Bloomsbury (although it also has an office in Cairo), not far from the British Museum. However, we welcome applications from all over the UK as most meetings are hybrid and (reasonable) travel expenses will be paid.
