Friends of Nottingham Hospitals (formally Friends of QMC), is a charity that raises vital funds in order to benefit the patients, carers and staff across the Trust locations (QMC, City Hospital and the Ropewalk)

We are seeking a number of new trustees to help grow and develop the organisation during a new and exciting phase of the charity and also provide support to raise funds. Meetings are held virtually approximately every 6-8 weeks with occasional in person meetings. 

We are especially looking for a treasurer to take over from our current treasurer who is looking to retire after many years with the charity. 

The Treasurer will have a watchdog role over all aspects of financial management, working closely with other members of the Management Committee to safeguard the organisation's finances.

In summary, the Treasurer will be responsible for:

  1. General financial oversight
  2. Overseeing funding to the Trust
  3. Financial planning and budgeting
  4. Financial reporting
  5. Banking, book keeping and record keeping 
  6. Control of fixed assets and stock
