Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in Oxfordshire’s communities? We seek a financially literate individual who is passionate about our cause and, in the role of Treasurer, can support our charity through our next strategic stage of development.

Age UK Oxfordshire is the parent company of a group or ‘family’ of organisations, with a combined turnover in excess of £4 million. We are a vibrant and dynamic organisation, working at the heart of communities, responding to people’s aspirations for later life and challenging ageism in all its forms. We have over 160 staff and 235 volunteers supporting the delivery of services and activities for older people, enabling them to maintain their independence and have meaning and joy in their lives.

The role of Treasurer offers the opportunity to have a real impact on the future shape of ageing in Oxfordshire, leading thinking to develop our services, to innovate and to make Oxfordshire a more age friendly county.

Looking to the future, we want to strengthen our reach, partner networks and ultimately to enable more people from our communities to access our services and support. As we embark on our new strategy for 2022-2025 and our current Treasurer comes to the end of his term in February 2023, we are looking to appoint a new Treasurer at great time of excitement and challenge.

As a treasurer joining our board, you will have:

  • Induction, mentoring and training and reimbursable expenses Opportunities to make strategic decisions and develop new skills

We are seeking to ensure diverse views are represented in our trustee board and are proactively seeking trustees who reflect all our different communities in Oxfordshire.
