Do you want to join a board with a new leadership team and an ambitious strategy to grow the amount of care we provide to people with complex disabilities, within a well established care organisation?
Established in 1991, Vision Homes Association is a quality provider of person centred care and support services for adults with a variety of needs including:
- Learning Disability Physical Disability Sensory Impairment Acquired Brain Injury Autism Behaviours that Challenge Complex Health Care needs and Long Term Health Conditions
Everyone has individual needs and for this reason every person supported has their own person centred plan tailor made to meet their specific needs and to ensure their support is how they wish it to be.
What will you be doing?
Vision Homes Association (VHA) is seeking to recruit passionate and committed new trustees to its Board to help shape future strategy and direction for growth at a crucial time for the organisation.
We are seeking Trustees to bring additional knowledge and input to our board. It is an opportunity for those that who are keen to use their skills and experience, whether professional or personal, to make sure VHA can continue to serve and to grow the excellent care that it provides to people with complex needs such as sensory impairment with acquired brain injury. Those in our care range in age and have differing needs, we aim to offer personalised care so that everyone can live the best life that they can.
What are we looking for?
The most effective Boards are ones which benefit from the input from individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences and skill sets. We are particularly interested in applicants with one or more of the following skills and/or experience:
- Business Development/Networking Skills Leadership Finance/Accountancy or Financial Management Information Technology and Technology Strategy Legal Strategic development and Planning Charity Governance
We’re particularly interested to hear from you if have direct experience of care home services or delivering care at home. No prior experience of sitting on a Board is necessary as we offer induction and training. You do need to have the time to fully participate as a Board Member – this equates to ½ to 1 day per month.

You will be joining at the start of new leadership team and a pivotal moment in VHA’s 30 year history to utilise your skills to shape and influence the future direction, to continue to deliver excellent care.
This is an opportunity to use your skills at a time when the organisation wishes to expand its services. You will be able to utilise your skills to set and govern the strategy for growth and improvement including setting goals.
You will have the satisfaction of knowing that the board has helped VHA develop and deliver an ambitious strategy for growth. You will gain confidence from helping to ensure that the underpinning systems, technologies and processes are robust and will support the plans for change.
Time commitment
Board meetings are held quarterly at our Head Office, and new trustees will also be invited to join one of to join one of the sub committees.
