Walsall u3a has been established for a number of years, we are a registered Charity and are looking for a new Treasurer to join the management committee team as the position will shortly become vacant.
The u3a is a national voluntary organisation of over 1000 local groups throughout the country, which provide opportunities for those who are retired or no longer in full time work to make the most of life by meeting new people, exploring new ideas and learning together.
On most days of the month members run a wide variety of interest group meetings, ranging from history to craft, art appreciation to boules, bridge to gardening and about 25 more. We have over 300 members and aim to grow.
Individual groups meet at Aldridge Community Centre and other local venues. A monthly meeting at Aldridge Community Centre, from 2-4 on the first Thursday of the month, features a speaker and the chance to chat.
We are very friendly and all are welcome. Please look at our website u3asites.org.uk/Walsall
