SAYiT is an LGBTQ+ youth and sexual health/HIV charity, and our core function is to transform the lives of LGBTQ+ young people and young people affected by HIV, up to the age of 25, through supportive group work, youth action, education and influence.

We require dynamic and motivated people who are passionate about the aims and objectives of SAYiT to join our Board of Trustees and fulfil their voluntary duties with energy and integrity. We expect Trustees to contribute actively to the Board, have good independent judgement and be enthusiastic members of the team.

We seek to ensure the Board is equipped with the different skills and experiences it needs to most effectively function, and that it is representative of the diverse population we serve. Trustees should have an acceptance of the legal duties, accountabilities, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship, but there is no need to have trustee experience to apply, as upon appointment a full induction and training will be provided.

To complement our current board, we are currently particularly looking for trustees with skills, knowledge or expertise around one (or more) of the following areas:

  • legal skills (and/or the ability to access professional legal advice)
  • fundraising and income generation
  • finance management
  • property/estates
  • health and safety
  • digital communications/social media
  • PR/communications/marketing/press relationships
  • campaigning/political skills
  • charity/voluntary organisation governance
