AYDA supports the development of all young people, including those with special educational needs and their families, through training and support activities.
AYDA have a committed Board of Trustees who possess a wide range of experience and personal skills. However, we are now seeking to expand this expertise by recruiting further new Trustees, who could bring additional skills to the board.
What will you be doing?
AYDA’s Trustees play a vital role in making sure that the charity achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management and administration of the charity. They also ensure that AYDA has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in line with our vision. Just as importantly, they support and challenge the executive team to enable AYDA to grow and thrive.
What are we looking for?
AYDA is particularly, but not exclusively, interested in hearing from people with the following skills/experience: Governance, Strategic and operational planning, Financial and business planning, Marketing and Fundraising. We are also keen to hear from people with an interest in diversity and black colonial history.
The board meet 4 times a year for approximately 1 hour. Trustees will also ideally attend the AGM.
