We are recruiting a Treasurer to join our active board.
As a Treasurer and trustee, you will:
- Attend six weekly evening board meetings; (currently virtual)
- Oversee the governance, financial performance and delivery of the charity;
- Work collectively with other board members as stewards of the charity’s values;
- Play an active role in supporting the charity’s work through involvement with others in your area of expertise attending events; providing advice and guidance and supporting ad hoc pieces of work.
Trustees are required to be a member of Bristol Women’s Voice, and be a woman living, working or volunteering in Bristol. You can join for free on our website.
A commitment to feminist principles, and passion for making a difference are critical, as well as leadership potential and willingness to work within governance structures.
We seek as diverse a Board as possible and welcome applications from women from a range of backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from women with backgrounds currently underrepresented on our Board, including ethnic minority backgrounds, from women with lived experience of disability and carers.
These roles are unpaid, but offer training and personal development, as well as the opportunity to contribute as part of an inspiring group of women. All out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
