Epping Forest Heritage Trust is a charity and membership organisation that inspires and educates people about Epping Forest, undertakes hands on conservation work and protects the Forest through advocacy and research.

We are at a very exciting stage in the development of the Trust, with a new strategy, six existing Trustees, a small staff team and over 40 committed volunteers.

We are recruiting between 3 and 5 new Trustees with the passion, skills and experiences to steer delivery of the new strategy, committed to making the Forest accessible to all as we protect and preserve Epping Forest now, and for generations to come.

We aim to have a diverse Board of Trustees that reflects the communities surrounding the Forest, particularly from younger people, people from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds and disabled people. We want your love of the Forest and enthusiasm to help us now and in the future.  We are interested in applications from people with knowledge and experience in finance or fundraising, or from the environment, heritage and cultural sectors.

As a Trustee you will be expected to attend 4 Trustee meetings a year as well as our Annual General meeting, as well as take part in other activities as your time permits. The role is voluntary and unremunerated.  We offer a full induction and training as necessary to help you fulfil the role.

If you are interested in helping us protect Epping Forest for generations to come please read the full recruitment pack here and if you have any questions call or email Peter, the Trust’s Chief Executive, on or 020 8508 9061. Application is by CV and short covering letter.

Applications close at midday on 27th October with interviews planned for November 24th.
