Serving over 1800 learners, Bradford Academy is an ‘all-through’ school at the heart of the community. We are looking to appoint 3 new Trustees to our already high-performing board who can support us on our journey to ‘Outstanding’.

About the role of Trustee

Our learners are at the heart of what we do, and we strive to provide the best education for all at Bradford Academy. It is of principal importance that our governors (non-executive directors) understand and embody our passion for providing our learners and their families with the best care and education.

We put our learners at the centre of everything that we do, with a key focus on achieving excellence, both academically, and socially. Our education benefits young people from across Bradford from the moment that they start their education, right through to point of readiness for Higher Education, or the world of work. We are now looking for three new Trustees to join our board. Our new Trustees should have a background in either education, finance, or business, but most importantly, share our values and passion for the community.

Our Trust Board ensures our primary, secondary, and post-16 centre are delivering high-quality education and value for money, whilst guaranteeing that we deliver our mission, and the Executive Leadership Team are achieving our strategic intent.

Candidates will need to be prepared to commit to eight Trust Board meetings per academic year. In addition to these, you will be expected to join at least one sub-committee per academic year and will have the opportunity to be involved in various other key events, such as parents’ evenings, schools fete’s and fundraising events.
