Do you have a passion for theatre and the arts? Wiltshire Creative is looking for new Trustees to join the Board of the region’s most exciting multi art form company. We are particularly keen to discover fresh perspectives to enhance our current Board.

Who we are

Wiltshire Creative is a vibrant and successful multi art form company – and registered charity – that brings together the energy and ambition of Salisbury Arts Centre, Salisbury International Arts Festival and Salisbury Playhouse. Formed in 2018, Wiltshire Creative’s mission is to create and present a dynamic and inclusive range of cultural experiences for the people of Salisbury, Wiltshire and beyond.

The role

A voluntary position, being a Trustee is a highly rewarding chance to work with a diverse, inclusive and lively Board and alongside talented creative people in helping to sustain the success and prosperity of this dynamic artistic company.

With several of our long-serving and dedicated Trustees due to step down over the next 24 months, Wiltshire Creative now has a number of vacancies for Trustees to join its Board and help define the next chapter in the organisation’s history. We are seeking new Trustees to join later this year but are also interested to meet people who might be available to join us during 2023.

Successful candidates will join a small team of individuals from a wide range of professional and community backgrounds who share a passion for the arts, embrace change and possess a desire to help Wiltshire Creative make the very most of its potential.

We are particularly looking for fresh perspectives that will help provoke conversations and uncover new opportunities and which will broaden the range of backgrounds and experience represented by our current Board.

The key responsibilities of the Board of Trustees are:

• To be collectively responsible for the success of the organisation, and for setting a clear vision, values and strategic direction.

• To ensure that the necessary resources are in place to meet its objectives, monitoring performance and ensuring that the overall organisation is well run.

• To ensure compliance with the Arts Council England funding agreement and requirements of good governance
