We are Disabled people working for an inclusive society.
Disability Rights UK is the UK’s leading organisation led by, run by, and working for Disabled people.
We work with Disabled People’s Organisations and Government across the UK to influence regional and national change for better rights, benefits, quality of life and economic opportunities for Disabled people.
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our board as Treasurer on a three-year term.
The Treasurer will play a key role in ensuring our organisation's financial stability and growth. The Treasurer will lead the trustees in overseeing the charity’s strategic financial management. While all trustees are collectively responsible for the management of the charity’s resources, the Treasurer will act as the lead trustee in articulating the financial governance of the organisation and will play an active role in ensuring that all trustees are fully able to understand the charity’s financial arrangements and contribute to financial discussions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to make a positive impact on our growing and dynamic organisation.
We are particularly keen to receive applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic people; Disabled people;
people who identify as being LGBTQIA2S+; people who have a mental health condition; and people who identify
as working class now or in the past.
Closing date May 22nd 2023.
