Position – Treasurer
Location – Islington

About IPA

At its core, IPA is an organisation which is dedicated to ensuring that Islington is a neighbourhood where all children can play outside. They firmly believe that play, as a definitive part of childhood, is integral to children’s happiness and wellbeing in the now, as well as for positive development and resilience into their futures. They know that outdoor self-directed play allows children to find out about themselves and who they can be, explore their world in their own way, on their own terms, and learn about what works and what doesn’t.

This award-winning organisation has been working for children’s right to play in Islington since 1971 by advocating for children’s play, supporting and developing local play providers, delivering projects that enhance the play offer across borough, moving onto delivering play services running 5 Islington adventure playgrounds and an Early Years provision at Paradise Park Children’s centre. IPA advocates for play at the heart of the community, and their aim is to continue to grow these services in pursuit of their mission to nurture children’s potential, growth and well-being through play.
