Dementia Concern, a local charity based in West London and serving the people of Ealing living with, or caring for those with, dementia is seeking a Treasurer for their Board of Trustees.

Dementia Concern’s diverse family of carers and volunteers are the heartbeat within their organisation, bringing support and light to clients and their loved ones. The organisation’s mission is to be the most trusted, dedicated and personal dementia charity in London, whenever people need them. They are proud to be the first dementia charity in West London to work directly as the link between the NHS and local GPs.

This role will be the Board’s key financial expert and will chair the Finance Committee, as well as support the development of the ongoing Financial Strategy. Along with other trustees, the post will be responsible for contributing relevant experience, expertise and insight, and to add value to strategy and policy development at Dementia Concern. It will also hold the CEO and her Executive Team to account for performance delivery, for the benefit of people living with dementia and carers in Ealing Borough.

The charity is seeking a financially literate and qualified person who can guide the Board. You will hold a recognised accountancy qualification (current or recent) and have experience of organisational leadership or governance, as well as of strategy and planning. You will understand the role of a Board of Trustees of a charity and have a commitment to excellence in the delivery of dementia services.

This is an exciting time to join the charity, with increased reserves available in recent months, a much-strengthened Executive Team, and a Board commitment to broaden fundraising, creating a great platform to grow. The Treasurer will also be joining the Board as they work on a new strategic plan, identifying how the charity can operate most effectively and reach every one of Ealing residents that need help.
