We are looking for 3 new Directors as well as someone to act as Chair on our Board, all of whom will play a vital role in ensuring that CG does its work in the best way possible and within the law. You don’t have to have been on a Board before to be a CG Director, if you’re passionate about our work and creativity in Gloucestershire, then you could be who we are looking for!

As a Director or Chair you’ll contribute to Create Gloucestershire’s vision to make the county a more creative and equal place to live, work and play. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about social change, arts and cultural sectors, racial justice, new models of finance, law, environmental sustainability and regeneration.

We celebrate diversity and inclusion and want to ensure that we are creating environments, including our Board, that are equitable and respectful and where people have equal access to leadership and decision making opportunities.

Even if you don’t have the experience listed below but are passionate about our work, we would still love to hear from you. Why don’t you come along to a (zoom) open event we're having at 5pm on 7th September where we plan to share more about Create Glos, the role of a Director and to answer any and all questions on being a Board member.

The role is voluntary (expenses are paid) and the time commitment is roughly 8-10 days a year. The most important thing to us is that you align with CG’s vision and core values, we also need people who can support our upcoming plans with specific skills, experience and networks in one of more of these areas (not essential):

a. In this recruitment round we are keen to have a “voice” for nature in the Board to ensure we put caring for the environment at the heart of all our decision making.

We are also seeking people with expertise and networks in the following fields:

b. Support to set up and market creative enterprises

c. Arts and creative industries including film and media.

d. Financial management including new models to devolve financial decision making

e. Primary or secondary education.
