Kiya Survivors is a grass roots, international development charity committed to providing a new beginning for children and young people in Peru who have special needs or have been abused or abandoned and to families living in poverty and vulnerable situations. We help them gain independence through education and therapy. Kiya Survivors has been working in Peru since 2001 and currently runs successful therapy, outreach and back to school support programs along with funding education and living costs for children in need.

TREASURER ROLE:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced individual to strengthen our Board of Directors in the financial department.

As a small charity we are looking for a ‘hands on’ Trustee who can actively contribute towards the success and future financial and strategic development of Kiya Survivors.

We are interested in hearing from candidates who have financial, managerial and business experience to support and develop new income streams and tackle the day-to-day issues that arise from our operations in the UK and Peru.

Role: Work with other Trustees to determine the overall direction and development of Kiya Survivors through good governance and clear strategic planning; Actively contribute to setting Kiya Survivors’ strategic objectives and priorities, drawing on relevant skills, experience, interests and contacts to help us achieve our goals, within legal and other constraint; Be committed to Kiya Survivors' aims and a desire to create positive change; Bring experience of running a successful organization and of managing finances; To improve our financial management and ensure our funds are being directed appropriately and reports are being filed correctly; Be able to work effectively as a member of a small team; To support the CEO with over all management.
