A growing Trust comprising five primary academies and a secondary academy - Blue Coat School and Music College - which joined in April 2020, Inspire Education Trust is located in Coventry, West Midlands.
The Trust came into existence in September 2015, initially set up as a Federation between Walsgrave CE Primary and Clifford Bridge Primary in 2012, and later joined by Sir Frank Whittle Primary in 2013. The three academies of the Federation became the founder schools of the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in 2015.
The Trust grew to incorporate Hearsall Community Academy in April 2017 and Stockingford Academy in September 2019. The Trust has a strong track record of school improvement in this sector. It is currently supporting two other Primary schools via Partnership agreements with the addition of a further two schools under the DfE Trust school improvement offer.
IET has more than 500 staff and a pupil population of approximately 3000.
The Trust has an ambitious vision, which is underpinned by the core Trust Values and seven key priorities.
The Trust vision encompasses high ambition for pupils and staff:
'To be the educator and employer of choice, with a first-class education that empowers pupils to flourish, grow and achieve. Where pupils matter to us as much as their academic success and with staff who are valued, supported and developed. Together, we will live life in all its fullness.'
IET's values drive the way it seeks to achieve that vision:
- Integrity
- Nurture
- Servanthood
- Partnership
- Inclusivity
- Respect
- Excellence.
They are an integral part of IET's success and the Trust seeks to ensure that these form the foundation of everything it does.
At Inspire, shared accountability and collaboration are an integral element of the structures and governance, this leads to successful outcomes for pupils, alongside the recognition of the importance of valuing people.
The Trust holds six meetings a year, alongside a Finance Committee to manage the Trust’s £22m budget.
