Job Details
Trustees are volunteers that play a key role in helping our Charity keep our strategic promises, and meeting the needs of the communities we operate in.
To join us, you could be a well practiced or aspiring trustee. For us, believing in our mission, vision and values is most important.
However, it would be great if you can make strong calls of judgement, challenge ideas, enjoy building strong relationships, think creatively and are always searching for that better solution. Commitment and working as part of a team will also be second nature to you.
We’re all ears, if you also have experience, skills or interests in any of these areas:
- Finance or Accountancy
- Human Resources
- Lived experience of mental health, or close connection to someone with lived experience i.e. carer
- All things digital, social media, marketing or ICT
- Retail and/or fundraising
- Resident or local area knowledge of Brentwood
Being a Trustee Puts You in a Unique Position
You will use your passion to improve mental health services and make a demonstrable impact. You will develop leadership, strategic and governance skills. The experience will also grow your network, opening up career progression opportunities. Although the role of a Trustee is voluntary, we will of course reimburse reasonable expenses.
Have We Got Your Attention?
If so, we can’t wait to meet you! Initially, we would like to set up an informal conversation. So, to arrange, please email us at: recruitment@tbmind.org.uk with a short introduction.
If You Share Our Passion Lets Meet!
We aspire for our Board to represent people from the communities we support. After all, diverse perspectives, experiences and voices in the room enable better decision making. We would therefore encourage anyone, regardless of experience or background, to express an interest.
