The Embroiderers' Guild is looking for an accountant who has an interest in creativity, design and textile art and wants to gain experience in a charitable organisation which is undergoing an exciting period of change and growth.

The position is offered on a voluntary (unpaid) basis for one year initially, however, longer-term involvement will be encouraged.

Due to the changes and growth that the Guild is currently undergoing the Board of Trustees meet once every 4-6 weeks to discuss the strategic direction of the Guild and take decisions on key issues. The Guild operates virtually and meetings are held online.

As a Finance Trustee your main responsibilities will be to provide financially focussed support and guidance to the Board to ensure that:

  • The Guild remains financially stable and delivers on its charitable objectives
  • restricted and reserve funds are managed effectively
  • overall financial processes are run efficiently and are compliant
  • annual returns and financial statements are filed with the relevant bodies on time

We would love to hear from anyone who is interested in applying for this role. Please get in touch with us by emailing trustees@embroiderersguild.com with some details about yourself and a copy of your CV.

You can find out more about the Guild and what we do on our websites: www.embroiderersguild.com and www.embroiderymagazine.co.uk
