Age Concern Crediton is looking to appoint a Trustee to take over the duties of the retiring Treasurer. These duties include the supervision of the in-house bookkeeper, the preparation of monthly cash in hand statements, the review and presentation of quarterly management accounts, the drafting of an annual budget and the preparation of the annual Trustees Report.
Age Concern Crediton is a well regarded small independent charity providing services to older people in Crediton and the surrounding villages.
Our charity is based at a Centre close to the high street in Crediton. Our services include a Community Club which meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10-2.30 which includes activities and a lunch. Every other Tuesday we have a coffee morning, often with entertainment. Every Tuesday afternoon we have a very popular Memory Café for people with memory problems and dementia. Every Thursday morning we have seated exercise and circle dancing. Twice a month we have an art club. We have a Menopause Support Group. We have a growing Home Support service that includes cleaning, shopping, befriending and reablement activities. We have a footcare service. Our services are continually evolving. We offer our Centre out for hire when not being used. We have a CEO and around 12 staff and 13 volunteers.
Trustee meetings usually occur every other month with our CEO. Our present treasurer would be pleased to explain more about what the job entails. He aims to retire at the end of March.
