Job Details

We are looking for someone to become the next treasurer and trustee of our dynamic charity. We are an established West London based youth centre, whose mission is to deliver high-quality recreation activities and skills training to children and young people to help them fulfil their potential and boost their long-term outcomes. Established in 1979, we have  annual revenue of over £1million. We are open 6 days a week, 48 weeks a year and currently have well over 1,000 members.

As the treasurer, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of The Avenues, ensuring transparency, compliance and effective financial decision-making.

This is a voluntary position with an estimated time commitment of up to five hours per month (excluding meetings). The Treasurer is also expected to attend Executive Committee meetings and Finance Sub-Committee meetings (either in person or virtually), collaborating with other trustees as appropriate.

You will play an integral role in ensuring the charity is on a stable financial footing and able to continue to provide much needed services to the community at a time when little other support is available.
