Marriage Care
England/Wales - Home-based with very occasional national travel.
Closing date
20 Mar 2024

The board of Marriage Care are looking to recruit new trustees to join us in enabling the vital relationship support services we provide to the Catholic community and beyond.

As a Trustee you will provide governance and strategic direction of the charity, ensuring that appropriate decisions are correctly made (including developing the organisation’s aims, objectives, and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines) and the charity continues to provide public benefit.

Trustees work in partnership with the chief executive to ensure that trustee decisions are acted upon, and the charity is managed effectively being sympathetic to the difference between the role the board of trustees play in developing and agreeing the strategic direction of the charity and that of the senior leadership team in applying that strategy to the day-to-day operations of the charity.

Trustees will need to be fully committed to Marriage Care’s Catholic ethos and values, to contributing time and energy for at least a three-year term, and to working together with a team of trustees to provide good governance and support for the charity’s staff and volunteers.

We welcome applicants who do not necessarily have Trustee experience as well as those who do.

This role is unremunerated and is home based with some national travel.
