As a network of charities, we’re united by a common purpose, which is to shape a society where people face far fewer problems. We’re driven by our ambition to make things better for people, individually and collectively. We’re driven by the power of good advice, to help people solve their problems. With the evidence we gather, we have a significant role to play in and we can show big organisations – from companies right up to the Government – how they can make things better, now and in years to come.

We are now seeking a new Treasurer who will provide high-level strategic financial management oversight to a talented Board and senior executive, led by our new Chair Matthew Swindells. Whatever sector your expertise has been gained in, we want you to bring your skill and experience to help us deliver real and meaningful social value. We particularly have an interest in working with people with lived experience and those who have worked with marginalised communities.

Ideally with experience of operating at Board level (as a senior executive or non-executive) and with a professional finance qualification as essential, you will bring experience of financial management and oversight in comparably large scale organisations, and bring an understanding of how to spot and solve financial challenges.  Wherever you are now, you will be committed to join our mission to tackle the scale of the social challenge we face.

If you believe you have the background and qualities required, this is an unrivalled opportunity to create real and sustainable change.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is of strategic importance and integral to all we do as a service: central to pursuing our EDI mission is building a diverse and inclusive organisation in which everyone has a sense of belonging. We are committed to diversity at Board level, and we strongly encourage applications from those who are disabled, have caring responsibilities, or are people of colour. We’d also be interested in hearing from this  with lived experience or experience working with marginalised communities
