Finance lead for community boat Electra

The Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust is looking for a finance officer to support Electra, a volunteer-run community boat on the Grand Union in Milton Keynes, one of two owned by the Trust (the other is based in Bedford).  Everything`s automated and online, from bookings, ticketing, cash-handling through to the main financial platform which is Sage.

Though small, with the capacity of 12 guests, Electra has carried 6000 guests in her three year life and plans another 2500 in the current cruising season, with very high satisfaction rates.  Our focus is now to generate donations, sponsorship and grants to allow deserving people in the community (Refugee communities, Old people, looked-after children, etc) opportunities to enjoy Electra for free.

If you could offer a few hours a week, are familiar with Sage and can get along with fellow Operations Team members (there are 8 in all), this may be for you.  If you would bring enthusiasm to the mission of offering MK residents and visitors an experience on the waterway they will remember, then we`d certainly like to hear from you.
