Treasurer and Trustee of a small charity based in Leamington Spa. The charity is below the threshold for filing accounts with the Charity Commission but is required by its constitution to have its accounts independently examined. The charity has organised an annual competitive music festival in Leamington since 1910. As well as keeping all accounting records the Treasurer is responsible for the annual return to the Charity Commission, for keeping Charity Commission records up to date and making the annual return to the Performing Rights Society. There are about five meetings of the Trustees each year and an AGM which the Treasurer is expected to attend. The ability to assist on Festival days would be appreciated - mostly weekends in June. The workload is heavily skewed to the June - August period but does not require very much time. An interest in classical music would be useful but is far from essential. The Festival strives for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
