Citizens Advice Brent is a well-established, independent charity providing free, confidential, and impartial advice to anyone living, working, or studying in Brent. We are currently seeking a volunteer with a background in finance to join our Trustee Board.
Time Commitment:
6-8 hours per month, including attendance at quarterly Trustee Board meetings. Trustees also contribute to governance, either individually or as part of a sub-committee.
Key Responsibilities: As a Trustee, in addition to your financial expertise, you will be expected to:
Prepare for and attend Board meetings.
Develop knowledge of local needs and resources.
Uphold Citizens Advice’s principles, including equal opportunities, independence, and research-based campaigns.
Understand and accept your responsibilities as a trustee and employer.
Participate in the democratic development of local and national Citizens Advice policies.
Think creatively, exercise sound judgement, and work effectively as part of a team.
