Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through challenging times. We are there for parents when they need us the most because childhood can’t wait.
We believe that children need a happy and secure childhood and that parents play the key role in giving their children a good start in life, helping them to achieve their full potential. Rooted in the communities we serve; we aim to make a lasting and positive impact on the development of children and the health and well-being of the family.
Home-Start Bristol and South Gloucestershire (HSBSG) has been successfully supporting families in Bristol and South Gloucestershire for over 30 years. Governance of HSBSG is provided by a Board of Trustees.
We are seeking a treasurer to join our board of trustees. As treasurer you will bring a certain level of experience and expertise to the role to ensure the financial success of the organization. You will work with the CE and Chair to develop a budget and monitor and evaluate financial progress.
As treasurer your overall role will be to maintain oversight of key financial management including financial controls, reports to board, year-end accounts and managing financial risks.
